About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Heavy Duty Gas Turbines Specialist in Veracruz, Mexico. The specialist coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer across sales, job design, execution, and follow-up activities. The role provides the planning necessary for the job, coordinates and directs the activities of service operators, and specializes in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines - Frame 5 and Frame 7. The Baker Hughes internal title for this role is Field Specialist III - SVS - HDGT.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer including sales, job design, execution, and follow-up activities.
  • Provide the planning necessary for the job, including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of service operators, and coordinate the cleanup, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
  • Evaluate individual performance levels of the crew and train operators to improve job performance.
  • Receive and follow established tasks according to the maintenance or installation activities schedule on customer equipment in the field, under minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with crew members on installation and/or maintenance activities of customer equipment at customer sites.
  • Execute specific tasks following the Site Quality Check Lists provided for the agreed scope of work.
  • Interact with customer representatives and site team on routine matters such as coordination meetings.
  • Provide all required records of activities accomplished at the customer site to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor and maintain good team relations.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; industry experience and IET product line training required.
  • At least 5 years' of experience in a field service or maintenance position.
  • Participation in minor/major outages, commissioning and installation.
  • Knowledge of L1 service (boroscope) and services such as combustion inspection, hot gas path and rotor swap.
  • Ability to understand and implement technical drawings and knowledge of maintenance procedures for heavy duty gas turbines.
  • Troubleshooting experience and availability to travel 90% of the time.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; able to work offshore and overseas is a plus; BOSIET/HUET certificates are a plus.
