About the Role

Within Baker Hughes' Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) division, the Project Management Senior Specialist - Project Planning is responsible for project delivery, profit and loss accountability and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Create the project plan, providing target dates and timing baseline to involved functions, prioritizing critical tasks and constraints and ensuring they are accurately integrated into the project planning scenario
  • Evaluate and analyze risks and issues affecting project results and identify actions to shorten execution and delivery lead-time
  • Guarantee other functions have access to accurate reports and projections and that relevant documents are available for the customer
  • Update and review the project schedule, assessing and verifying activity progress, identifying current or future risks, and proposing solutions to mitigate them
  • Maintain the progress and main schedule risks for each project and regularly communicate updates to the manager
  • Work closely with internal functions and the site team, preparing mitigation plans when needed
  • Provide summary indicators such as summary schedules, forecast milestones and project KPIs, and prepare high-level presentations for management and customer reviews
  • Keep track of project financial milestones related to billing and sales events, preparing forecast projections and target vs actual gap analysis
  • Monitor fulfillment activities, certifying completeness KPIs during the project closure phase until hand-off to the Site operations team
  • In case of site execution, plan and control site installation activities from site opening to final commissioning of the plant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Excellent project management skills; experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Very good organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work in an exciting environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Very good knowledge of O365 apps (at least MS Excel; experience with SharePoint, PowerApps, Forms and Flow); knowledge of systems such as Oracle ERP and Primavera P6 is advantageous
  • Good knowledge/experience in Lean Six Sigma
  • Fluent in English
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams, lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact, coordinate several projects simultaneously, with effective problem identification and solution skills and proven analytical and organizational ability
