About the Role
The Mechanical Assembly Technician sets up and operates machinery used in the manufacturing of flexible pipes and performs mechanical assembly operations as part of the equipment setup process. Seeking local candidates in Baytown, TX and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required tasks in accordance with established Company Policies, Procedures, and Safe Work Practices, remaining committed to safety
- Set up and operate machinery used in the manufacturing of flexible pipes
- Perform mechanical assembly operations as part of the equipment setup process
- Conduct basic routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards
- Complete required documentation records in accordance with procedures
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies in equipment setup, production, quality, maintenance, and other areas encountered
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred
- 0-5 years of relevant experience or related field
- Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly and equipment operation
- Welding and NDT experience preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanics, metal forming, and/or extrusion equipment and processes is preferred
