About the Role
Baker Hughes is seeking a Tax Analyst - Indirect Taxes in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to join the Global Finance Organization. The role supports the Brazil calculation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of Indirect Taxes, working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support the specific language requirements to manage the Brazil calculation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of Indirect Taxes at Global Finance Organization.
- Complete the periodic filing and payment of all Indirect Taxes (ISS, CIDE, INSS, WHT, ICMS, IPI, PIS and COFINS).
- Prepare and file all Indirect tax filings as required.
- Work closely with External and Internal Auditors to assist in completion of all audits.
- Support any internal or external audit related to indirect tax.
- Reconcile the tax accounts based on the tax returns.
Qualifications
- Have a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
- Have minimum 3-5 years Indirect Tax Experience.
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding of Oracle and Mastersaf.
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding of Brazilian Taxation.
- Be able to speak and write in Portuguese and English.
- Have experience in Blackline accounts reconciliation tool and expert in MS Excel is a plus.
- Have professional post graduate qualification in either Accounting (CPA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) or Brazilian Tax Law is a plus.
- Desired characteristics: strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; hands-on to execute processes and close pending compliance tasks; Excel advanced level, RPA, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power-BI know-how.
