About the Role
CNC Machinist role (Associate to Senior level) on the 2nd shift at Halliburton's Lafayette, LA manufacturing site (700 Pont de Mouton Road). Working under close supervision, the role sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools, including CNC/NC lathes, mills, drills, and manual machines. Work shift is Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:00am (nights), with overtime on Fridays as needed. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, opportunities may be available at the Associate, Machine Operator, or Senior Machine Operator level.
Responsibilities
- Under close supervision, set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools including numerical control/computerized numerical control lathes, mills, drills, CNC/NC, and/or manual machines.
- Read blueprints as required.
- Perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations.
- Perform inspection procedures to verify work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Skills typically acquired through 1–2 years of related machining experience.
- PIT experience is preferred.
- Candidates whose qualifications exceed the minimum will be considered for higher-level roles based on experience, additional job requirements, and/or business needs (Associate Machine Operator, Machine Operator, or Senior Machine Operator).
