About the Role
Halliburton is seeking a CNC Machinist for its 2nd (night) shift in Lafayette, Louisiana. Working under close supervision, the machinist sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools including numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, and manual machines. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities may be available, including Associate Machine Operator, Machine Operator, or Senior Machine Operator. Work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:00am (nights), with overtime required on Fridays when the business requires.
Responsibilities
- Working under close supervision, set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines.
- Read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Skills typically acquired through 1-2 years related machining experience.
- Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles.
