Field Specialist II - Tubular Running Services

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for tubular running services.
• Attend and complete all mandatory courses, complying with QHSSE and Compliance policies and procedures through company-defined systems.
• Report unsafe acts and conditions and participate in the observation card program (minimum 3 cards monthly in Intelex per employee) and other HSE management system programs.
• Maximize efficiency of assigned resources and contribute solutions that drive company development.
• Ensure complete personal protective equipment and valid documentation required by the operating contract.
• Maintain regular communication with the Operations Coordinator and/or Supervisor and communicate effectively with clients and subcontracted personnel.
• Attend safety conferences and platform meetings, presenting relevant topics when necessary.
• Perform routine, preventive, corrective maintenance, repairs and calibrations of designated equipment following manufacturer manuals, and report equipment faults or defects promptly.
• Prepare, install, operate and dismantle tubular tightening and running tools.
• Operate line equipment: power unit, hydraulic wrench, torque logging equipment, quick fill, base spider, elevator spider or FMS, CRTi, elevators, manual slips, backup wrench, among others designated by the Supervisor or Coordinator.
• Follow best practices, work instructions, manufacturer manuals, and Baker Hughes procedures and policies to guarantee operation reliability, and properly record operation activities and data.
• Verify equipment condition before and during operation, verify correct alignment of top drive and rotary table, and ensure CRT casing running/recovery procedures and connection torque specifications are met.
• Maintain constant communication with the hydraulic wrench operator, field supervisor, and crew, and secure equipment and materials in their respective baskets, contributing to order and cleanliness in the TRS base work areas.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of field experience.
• Technical or professional training in Petroleum Engineering or related areas.
• Current Volant certificate.
• Knowledge of TRT technologies, hydraulic wrench, torque logging equipment and quick fill; ability to handle TRS manual tools.
• Solid knowledge of HSE standards.
