About the Role

The Senior Construction Engineer coordinates all construction activities on project/onsite for SBM Offshore's floating production (FPSO) assets, facilitating communication between stakeholders and ensuring work complies with project HSSE, Quality and schedule requirements. You oversee and coordinate all technical and administrative construction activities, ensuring project objectives are met efficiently and within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

Conducting the constructability review and providing input to Engineering.
Conducting and overseeing advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to guide project decision-making.
Providing guidance and advanced technical expertise on construction techniques to the project/site team, ensuring best practices are followed.
Addressing operational challenges, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to improve construction performance and reduce non-productive time.
Coordinating the interface and priorities between disciplines to solve construction issues, and following up on construction status and progress to meet the schedule.
Providing guidance and mentorship to the project construction team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with strong knowledge of construction principles and processes and HSSE regulations.
At least 8 years of extensive experience in construction with a proven track record of successful project delivery in complex environments, combined with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Functional competencies: FPSO Hull, SBM Product Knowledge, Turret Mooring System, Business Acumen, Third-party relationship management, FPSO Topsides, Construction and commissioning, HSSE Quality Regulatory and Process Safety Leadership, Risk Management, and Planning.
