About the Role
Entry-level position in the tool tech family at Halliburton's New Iberia, Louisiana location. Under strict supervision, the role performs maintenance, repairs, and assembly/disassembly of down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, the opening may be filled at the Tool Technician I or Tool Technician II level.
Responsibilities
- Under strict supervision, perform maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.
- Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Promote and take an active part in the quality improvement process.
- Communicate effectively with others, as required by the nature of oil field service work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) is required.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- This is the entry-level position into the tool tech family.
