Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Ensure the seaworthiness of vessels to meet company, charterer, and class standards.
• Deliver a continuous reduction of the annual maintenance budget.
• Manage planned maintenance activities and dry docking for all the company's vessels.
• Provide hands-on problem-solving on technical issues across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 10 - 15 years' experience as a Marine Engineer.
• Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent is a mandatory requirement.
• Offshore sailing experience is an added advantage.
• A Technical Superintendency license is required for this role.
• Valid COC is an added advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of the marine, tugboat, oil transportation, and shipping industry.
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance systems and equipment.
• Capable of making decisions and giving directions to facilitate prompt service delivery.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
• Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
• Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures and controls.
• Must be physically fit enough to board vessels, barges, and tugs at sea and in port.
• Authorized to work in Nigeria.
