About the Role
Strategic Resources' client, an oil and gas company, is seeking an experienced offshore-based Walk-to-Work (W2W) Preparation Coordinator to support the safe and efficient execution of an FPSO maintenance campaign. This is a PAYE contract role for approximately 2 months on a 3-weeks-on / 3-weeks-off rotation. The role combines work preparation, planning support, coordination, reporting, and offshore execution support, acting as a key interface between offshore execution teams, onshore planners, scope owners, engineers, vessel personnel, and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Review offshore work packs for maintenance and campaign activities to ensure completeness and accuracy; validate task sequencing, labour, tools, vendors, and material requirements.
- Liaise with offshore supervisors, planners, engineers, vendors, and execution teams to mature work scopes ahead of execution; collaborate with scope owners to confirm readiness.
- Work with FPSO superintendents to identify and manage execution constraints (plant status, permit conditions, material availability, vendor support, SIMOPS, weather).
- Ensure all required materials, tools, consumables, and equipment are available offshore prior to execution; coordinate with onshore material coordinators to track delivery status.
- Assist with maintenance scheduling and prioritization; review contractor and vendor work packs for readiness and compliance with maintenance, integrity, and safety processes.
- Coordinate daily W2W campaign activities between the FPSO, W2W vessel, and onshore support teams; maintain oversight of personnel-on-board (POB) movements and transfers.
- Monitor daily campaign progress against schedule, identify variances, and coordinate interfaces between multiple work scopes, disciplines, and contractors to avoid conflicts.
- Ensure clear, timely communication of transfer delays, weather impacts, and operational constraints; support onboarding and induction of campaign personnel.
- Provide clear daily progress updates to offshore and onshore stakeholders; review lookahead schedules; identify and escalate execution risks, delays, and emerging issues.
- Assist with permit-to-work (PTW) planning and coordination; support end-of-shift handovers, daily coordination meetings, and end-of-campaign reporting including lessons learned.
- Promote a strong safety culture; support Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and task risk assessments; participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and stand-downs; intervene on unsafe acts.
