Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Define supplier strategy, including management and optimization of supplier panels.
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers; negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
• Manage claims, including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis and negotiation support, and may include purchasing activities.
• Advise functional managers and other functions on approaches, processes and procedures in your own field.
• Handle communication with direct colleagues and the business about approaches and methods for solving complex problems.
• Lead medium-sized projects or act as a major contributor to bigger projects (goals typically take 3-6 months to complete, with results/impact typically 2-12 months after the event).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Sourcing).
• Strong work experience in direct sourcing/procurement.
• Experience in Commodity Management.
• Experience with ERPs such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Permanent work permit in the UK.
