About the Role
NextEra Energy Resources, one of America's largest wholesale electricity generators, is seeking a technically skilled leader to manage a portfolio of new and developing solar and storage assets associated with its ROI fleet across the West Texas and New Mexico regions of the United States. The individual will lead a team of technicians in the daily operations and maintenance of solar and storage assets varying in size and scale, and is responsible for the safety of all personnel, environmental compliance with required regulatory permits, and delivering on key performance indicators including availability, production and cost. The ideal candidate will live in the region to support the travel schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of technicians in the daily operations and maintenance of solar and storage assets of varying size and scale.
- Ensure the safety of all personnel and environmental compliance with all required regulatory permits.
- Deliver on key performance indicators including availability, production and cost.
- Collaborate with peers, stakeholders, central organization support teams, vendors and OEMs to advance organizational goals.
- Ensure all safety, environmental, performance and budget targets are met.
- Develop and grow the team and business.
- Develop multi-year Operations and Maintenance budgets.
- Oversee and approve procurement activities of the sites.
- Ensure all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal permits, codes, standards and regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Travel required: 50%.
Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years.
- Supervisor/Management experience: 2+ years.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree (Engineering - Electrical preferred).
- Strongly preferred: demonstrated strong leadership and management skills; solid technical background and field services experience with strong problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; superior organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills; strong project and business process management skills; Six Sigma skills or equivalent quality experience.
