About the Role
Machining and inspection operator role within Baker Hughes' Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) division in Bari, Italy. Shift-based work on the production line (including weekends when required), covering milling, part inspection, material identification, and quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- During machining operations (milling and inspection), complete item inspection plans, identify materials, and perform preliminary inspections of parts in accordance with applicable specifications.
- During machining and inspection operations, be responsible for the workstation and for compliance with production line management rules.
- Suggest improvements to activities, in accordance with the company's continuous improvement program.
- Participate in weekly discussions on safety and quality issues within the team (Safety & Quality Talk).
Qualifications
- High school diploma (preferably a Mechanical Engineer).
- Referenced experience in mechanical milling.
- Knowledge of Baker Hughes products and boring/milling using CNC machines.
- Available to work shifts (including weekends, if necessary).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/technical specifications.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools.
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, email, etc.).
- Demonstrates teamwork and flexibility.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
