About the Role
A dual role at Baker Hughes combining hands-on reliability engineering with digital tool development for data-driven maintenance and risk-based decisions. You will analyze operational data from industrial equipment such as gas turbines — asset history and failure mechanisms (cracking, corrosion, creep) — building predictive life models to improve equipment reliability and maintenance strategies, while acting as functional owner of a next-generation reliability application used to calculate KPIs and support engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
- Collecting, structuring and maintaining equipment and asset history datasets (installation, field and repair events).
- Analyzing operational data from industrial and rotating equipment (including gas turbines) to identify reliability trends, failure mechanisms and risk drivers.
- Providing Reliability RAM analysis reports to BH customers.
- Development and update of predictive and probabilistic models as part of advanced reliability analysis.
- Acting as a functional owner of a reliability application, ensuring it meets business needs and delivers reliable, meaningful outputs.
- Translating engineering requirements into functional specifications, user stories and clear inputs for development teams.
- Collaborating closely with IT, developers, and external vendors to design, build and enhance a next-generation reliability tool; testing new features, identifying issues and ensuring quality and usability of developed solution.
- Driving implementation of new features, issues and bugs management, access control, documentation control and regular update.
Qualifications
- Experience in reliability engineering, asset performance or maintenance analysis ideally within industrial or rotating equipment environments.
- Understanding of failure mechanisms (e.g. cracking, corrosion, creep) and their impact on equipment performance and maintenance strategies.
- Experience working with engineering or operational data and turning it into structured analysis and actionable insights.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly through reports, presentations and discussions with stakeholders.
- Interest in digital tools, applications or systems used to support engineering or operational decision-making.
- Comfortable working across engineering and IT environments, collaborating with developers, analysts or external vendors.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on improving and automating data-driven engineering processes.
- Good command of English; experience with data tools such as SQL, Python or Tableau is considered a plus.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours.
- Hybrid working model - working from the Warsaw office two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
- Contemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities.
- Comprehensive private medical care options.
- Safety net of life insurance and disability programs.
- Tailored financial programs.
- Sports card.
- Mobility allowance bonus and lunch card.
- Additional elected or voluntary benefits.
- Engineering authorship rights.
- Annual STI - a yearly performance-based bonus.
