Cost Control Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the cost control team, providing guidance, review, support, and development opportunities.
• Oversee the tracking and recording of all costs and revenues associated with the units and departments.
• Analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports and summaries for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring that cost estimates are realistic and aligned with financial goals.
• Ensure that cost control practices comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with other departments to gather cost-related information and support cost control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, PMP, CCE, AACE) is preferred.
• Experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role. Experience in Oil & Gas and large infrastructure industries preferred.
• Functional competencies: commercial analytics and reporting, cost control and performance management execution, risk and internal control, budgeting and forecasting, project budget set-up, project cost management, contractual and commercial, master data set-up and interface.
