About the Role
Perform installation, testing, and flushing of piping systems in marine and industrial environments, adhering to safety standards, technical specifications, and quality requirements across government, military, and commercial programs. Involves work in confined spaces, at heights, and in demanding industrial conditions.
Responsibilities
- Execute piping system flushing procedures in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements; document results and maintain cleanliness records.
- Perform pneumatic and functional testing of piping systems; identify and correct leaks, deficiencies, or non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate work records including time sheets, material logs, and inspection documentation.
- Follow all RCS, LLC HSE policies and shipyard safety protocols; participate in toolbox talks and safety observations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Project Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; vocational/technical training in pipefitting or plumbing a plus.
- Experience in marine piping, shipyard piping, or industrial work environments is a plus.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Preferred: experience on U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, or other military vessel programs.
- Preferred: knowledge of MIL-STD-1330 (flushing requirements) and NAVSEA technical standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted; ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme temperatures; prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs/ladders and working from elevated platforms or scaffolding; use of PPE including respirators, safety harnesses, hearing protection, and hard hat required.
