NES Fircroft is hiring a Land Analyst in Midland, Texas. This entry-level role assists Land Asset Teams in acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and Exploration & Production contracts, focusing on research, creating various reports, and analysis of data.
Responsibilities
- Assist Land Asset Teams in acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and Exploration & Production contracts, focusing on research, creating various reports, and analysis of data.
- Respond to mineral owner questions, issues, or demands.
- Research and analyze leases and contracts, including ownership set up for new wells, determining working interest and net revenue interest in new wells or recompletions.
- Determine working interest ownership in federal units and participating area expansions.
- Develop and maintain network relationships with government agencies, lessors, mineral owners, and partners.
- Develop and maintain network relationships with other groups within the company, i.e., legal, accounting, tax, production, and auditing.
- Create various reports from Tobin Land Suite or parallel systems.
- Create various reports from Business Objects pertaining to critical leases.
- Gather and analyze data for quarterly contract obligation reports and lease obligations reports.
Qualifications
- High School/Secondary education.
- Entry level, typically 0-3 years of experience.
- Requires basic knowledge of the discipline.
- Uses established procedures to solve standard, straight-forward problems.
- Has the ability to perform routine assignments based on detailed instructions/past practices.
