About the Role
Eni is hiring a Technical Inspection Expert at its Sannazzaro de' Burgondi (PV) refinery in Lombardy, Italy, supporting Eni Industrial Evolution (EIE), whose business focuses on traditional refining, primary logistics, and portfolio optimization. This is a permanent position under the Energy and Oil national collective agreement (CCNL).
Responsibilities
- Ensure the definition and implementation of inspection/maintenance plans aimed at achieving the highest HSE/Asset Integrity standards, with particular reference to static equipment (appliances and pipes), atmospheric tanks, underground systems (underground pipes and sewers), and metal structures.
- Define and implement immediate and/or scheduled improvement actions for these components to achieve safety and reliability objectives, working with the maintenance team.
- Perform visual inspections in the field, operating safely and in accordance with company and national/international guidelines, preparing timely and detailed inspection reports.
- Support full compliance with periodic checks required by current legislation, liaising with relevant authorities (e.g. INAIL, ATS, ISPRA, Notified Bodies, Authorized Third Parties).
- Support the processing of RCA of events causing even potential HSE impacts or interruption of production processes, identifying immediate and planned corrective actions and ensuring their implementation.
- Provide specialist support in developing technical specifications for supply/procurement contracts and operating instructions relevant to the inspection scope.
- Ensure the definition and implementation of control plans on materials delivered to the Refinery warehouse.
- Provide engineering support to other business functions.
- Manage the issuance and verification of SAP documents (RDA/ODC/LVP) per contractual documentation and the financial reporting phase of coordinated activities.
- Keep the inspection software repository (Antea/Palladio) and the legal paper archive up to date.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, preferably in a technical field; other qualifications may be considered based on field experience.
- At least 3 years of work experience in this field.
- Strong sensitivity to safety issues, particularly for operating in sites at risk of major accidents and for the reliable management of equipment over time.
- Knowledge of the main reference standards in the field of pressure equipment.
- Knowledge of the main non-destructive testing methods and the main types of industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
