About the Role

Work within a dedicated subcontracts management team to provide contract leadership and direction across projects for the Subsea Production Systems business. You share responsibility with the Project Manager(s)/Director for the contractual and financial delivery of the project in accordance with the execution and financial plan, supporting Well Intervention requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Supplier Management completely - qualification of suppliers, subcontract management process, proposal management, tendering and contract management
  • Develop and negotiate detailed contractual agreements, including frame agreements with suppliers, and lead cross-functional teams in the contract design and negotiation
  • Build solid supplier management relationships to oversee third-party services including process design and day-to-day operations engagements
  • Develop strategic contracting approaches with suppliers to drive more certainty into project execution
  • Oversee sub-contracting: transition from "back-to-back" to informed risk distribution and strategies (knowledge base approach)
  • Support the bids team in proposal development, risk management, scope definition, contractual initiatives, customer communications, and customer negotiations
  • Support bid and project teams to ensure all necessary main contract flow downs are included
  • Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the project scopes of work by controlling the overall project risk and opportunity review and reporting process
  • Guide commercial operations in the proposal preparations of projects under existing agreements, contributing to define the overall deal strategy
  • Generate creative solutions to meet global company energy transition objectives within commercial proposals mandate
  • Support the Contract Partnership teams in the continued development of consortium agreements, Subsea Production Systems offers and Fullstream activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in law, business administration, or other relevant legal, contractual, commercial, or procurement energy-related degree
  • Substantial contract management experience in an oil and gas environment including on and offshore services and fabrication
  • Knowledge of oil and gas contracts, terms and conditions and negotiation techniques
  • Proven experience providing commercial support in an international business environment, supplying to complex industries and organizations
  • Capability to work effectively and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to present complicated issues in an understandable way
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and contracts across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional analytical/critical thinking skills and well-developed commercial acumen
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work to tight schedules and deadlines
